FAQs

This is the number one reason homeowners choose AirLister. Traditional agents charge 2%–3.5% commission (plus GST) — on top of marketing, signage, and social media ads that you pay for to promote their profile, not your property. By selling your home yourself, you save tens of thousands. AirLister charges a simple, low fixed fee that covers everything you actually need — no hidden extras. On an average $850,000 home, that's a saving of $30,000–$50,000+ straight back in your pocket — money that could go towards your next home, your family, or your future.

That's a biased opinion — Agents stand to make $25,000–$50,000 from selling your home, so of course they'll tell you you're "better off" with them. The truth is, there's no guarantee an agent will achieve a higher sale price. In fact, many AirLister clients have outperformed agent valuations, selling for more than the pre-market appraisals they received. If you do decide to use an agent, try negotiate a fee based on performance. If your property is worth around $1 million, why pay 3% commission ($30,000 + GST and marketing) for an average result? You should only pay for results that go above and beyond — not just for someone to "open a door." For every dollar in commission you pay, make sure you're getting two dollars back in value.

Absolutely. This is one of the most valuable services we offer. We hold a fully licensed real estate account, which allows you to "piggyback" your property onto realestate.com.au — putting your listing directly in front of genuine buyers. Your listing will look identical to professional agency listings, especially if you invest in professional photography. Most agencies use "Premiere" listings on realestate.com.au — these cost around $4,000 depending on suburb, and are primarily designed to promote the agent's brand, not your property. At AirLister, we focus entirely on your home, not building an agent profile. If you'd like to upgrade to a Feature, Highlight, or Premiere listing, our team can organise this for you at cost price — no mark-ups, just the direct advertising fee.

If your property isn't under contract within 60 days of going live, we'll refund your full $699 fee. The only conditions are that your listing stayed active for the full 60 days and you held at least one inspection. Send us a copy of the ad listed with another agent and we will issue the full $699 refund in 24 hours.

AirLister handles the advertising — not the legal side. In Australia, a solicitor or conveyancer must prepare your contracts and manage settlement. Once you've agreed on a sale, your conveyancer will draft the contract, send it to the buyer's solicitor, and oversee signing via DocuSign. We also provide pre-prepared offer and EOI forms to make this step easier.

You've got this. If you've ever sold a car or couch on Facebook Marketplace, you can sell a home. We provide CoreLogic sales data and pricing tools — the same ones agents use — to guide you. When negotiating, remember: price is a conversation, not a number. Buyers expect some back-and-forth — stay polite, stick to your value, and counter confidently.

Once you sign up and have your professional photos ready, you can create your listing and be live on all major property portals in under 60 miniutes. Since you control the process, there's no waiting for an agent's schedule—you are in the driver's seat from day one.

Yes — 100%. For just $200–$350, professional photography makes your home stand out online and can add thousands to your final price. Buyers scroll quickly — you want your listing to shine, not stick out for the wrong reason. Video tours are optional, but professional photos are essential.

Yes — buyers love floor plans. You can create one easily for free using Cubi.Casa. Upload a walk-through video of your home, and it will generate a professional-looking floor plan (your first one is free).

Just like when you list with an agent, sometimes a property doesn't sell – if this happens we offer a 60-day Money-Back Guarantee. If your property doesn't sell and you list with an agent afterward, we refund your $699 listing fee.
